Communication as LeadershipIn the halls of academia and the boardrooms of the non-profit world, culture shouldn't happen by accident. But every decision, promotion, hiring, firing, restructure, silence and sound is a piece of communication whether we want it to be or not. Communication that shapes and even empowers our cultures, good and bad. So we better do it on purpose.
Communication as Leadership is a half-day interactive session that helps leaders recognize all the ways (intentional and accidental) they communicate with their teams. Through real-world example, listening for potential and narrative bias awareness, participants leave with practical tools to build trust, foster psychological safety and shape their culture on purpose. |

The Communication MutinyWhen we don't understand the full breadth of communication, we can't build the cultures we hope to build. And that's how cultural and ethical drift thrives: stealth intention, assumption bias, and institutional habit. These begin to lead instead of the leaders. This half-day interactive workshop is a mutiny against the status quo of corporate communication.
Our ObjectivesUnderstand the impact of everyday communications on culture.
Identify gaps between intended message and actual communication impact. Employ authentic communication strategies for transparency and connection. Practice strength-based listening to uncover potential rather than defaulting to problem-identification and pre-judgement. |
What we'll buildThis isn't a refresher on soft skills. We're building a toolkit that makes how we communicate fundamental to the culture we want to create.
